Fleetwood Mac - Bare Trees - Rock Music CD Review

The exceptionally talented Rock group Fleetwood Mac have released their CD entitled Bare Trees. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Fleetwood Mac fans, and Rock fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Bare Trees their artistic excellence is on full display as they have once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be their best work to date.

This one will grab your attention right out of the gate with Child Of Mine and won't let go until the very last note of the very last song Thoughts On A Grey Day, which is another great track by the way.

These days it's a very rare CD on which every single song is good or better than the one before it. This CD is certainly one of those rare CDs.

Fleetwood Mac - Bare Trees - Rock Music CD Review

Overall Bare Trees is outstanding from beginning to end. One of those CDs that after a few listens the songs are just etched into your memory. A must have for the Rock fan. Really spectacular from beginning to end.

While the entire CD is really very good some of my favorites are track 1 - Child Of Mine, track 3 - Homeward Bound, and track 8 - Spare Me A Little Of Your Love

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 10 - Thoughts On A Grey Day. It's a great track!

Full Version Risk Game - Review of the Free Full Version Risk Download For PC

This review of the full version Risk I game download includes details of how it is played and the benefits of playing this Risk game download on your PC. The popular classic board game is a world domination strategy competition, where the board is a map of the world separated into territories. The main aim is to use your troops to take over all the territories and basically dominate the map with your army. The computer adaptation is an excellent reproduction. And with the extra benefits of playing this electronic version, makes it well worth downloading.

In this Risk PC game adaptation, you begin with naming your General and choosing 2 opponents to play against. Either other people playing on the same PC or computer controlled (A.I.) generals. There are 16 different generals to choose from, all named after famous generals from history. They are each given a rating, so if you are newbie you would opt for a general with a 1 star rating for 'easy' level whilst once you have had more practise you may want tougher opposition and so you can choose a general with a 5 star rating.

Just like the board game, all the players are given the same amount of troops which you will distribute around the board map within the territories you own. But in this version there are 2 modes; you can choose to share out the countries using the classic board method called the Territory Claim mode or the Random Deal mode which is where you allow the PC to share out the territories.

Full Version Risk Game - Review of the Free Full Version Risk Download For PC

Once all the players' armies have been placed on the map, you start the game. The aim is to dominate the world map, which you do by trying to overtake each opposing army that is in a neighbouring territory to yours.

You start your turn by choosing which bordering territory you want to attack, making sure you have at least two groups of armies in the territory you are attacking from. The fight for the territory begins. This is done by both the attacker and defender rolling the dice, which is done graphically by clicking on 'roll' to roll the dice. Whoever gets the highest number on the dice wins that battle, which results in knocking out one of the losers army. The attacker can choose to roll again until they completely defeat the defenders armies or until the attacker runs out of armies (remember that the attacker must have a minimum of 2 armies in the attacking country).

You can choose to attack a number of countries within your go and once you have finished, it is the next players turn to make attacks to try and take over countries. Like the original you get reinforcements if you own a whole continent and collect bonus cards which you can then trade in for extra cavalry, infantry or artillery.

The additional benefits to playing this full Risk I game on your PC include:
You can play against the computer with A.I. generals - so you can play it whenever you want There is background music, sound effects, voice-overs for the A.I. generals and animation that enhance and make the game more fun You can speed up the setting of the armies, by choosing the Random deal mode With the full version download of this Risk game you can play unlimited Risk games on your PC It's great to play for a bit of nostalgia for fans of the original With the 16 computer generated generals you can choose the level of difficulty of each of the games, with a choice of easy (1 star) to hard (5 stars) ranked General opponents each named after a famous general from history such as Napoleon and Wellington!

This computer adaptation of one of the most popular board games is easy to pick up, fun to play and has some well thought out extras. So if you are looking to download full version games based on classic board games, then this Risk game download, it is a great choice for fans of the original table top version and strategy gamers alike.

Direct TV Review - Is Direct TV Worth It?

How long have you been sitting on the fence about satellite TV? Do you have any idea what an awesome TV viewing experience you're missing out on if you're still stuck with the limitations of cable? When I decided to go with a satellite TV system, I did it because I wanted a ton of channels. With Direct TV I got exactly that, and much, much more.

(By the way, if after you read this review you want to see what kind of deal you can get on Direct TV service, you have to scroll down to the bottom of this story and check out the sites I list there. These are the only sites I found where you can find the true up-to-the-second deals Direct TV is offering at the moment. More on that later.)

First of all, I'll tell you upfront that you'll pay a little more for Direct TV when compared to some of the other satellite TV providers. But that's comparing apples to oranges, because Direct TV has several benefits that aren't offered by their competition.

Direct TV Review - Is Direct TV Worth It?

For example, NFL Sunday Ticket is exclusive to Direct TV subscribers and a must-have if you're into football. Ever heard of interactive mix channels? Probably not. Only Direct TV lets you watch up to 8 live news, sports or kid shows on a single screen, all at the same time.

How would you like to get a sneak peek at new shows before they go on the air? Direct TV has an exclusive agreement with the FX channel that allows you to do that. And if music is what floats your boat, you'll be thrilled with the musical events on Direct TV that you won't see aired anywhere else.

HD programming is quite a buzzword these days. If you're not watching in high definition, you're missing out on the ultimate experience in TV viewing. Direct TV gives you 900 hours of HD programs every week, with plans to introduce more than 150 HD channels in the near future. Direct TV was the first to offer the History Channel in HD. I can only imagine how much the history buffs must love that.

You may be wondering how I know so much about Direct TV. I'd like to let you think that I'm just that smart, but the truth is I found those three websites I mentioned earlier (and that I list below) that have a mind-boggling amount of information. If you scroll down, you'll see the links. Having been to so many bogus sites with misinformation and outdated facts, it was a big relief to find a few that were so straightforward and up-to-the-minute with the latest and greatest that Direct TV has to offer.

But back to the review...

If you're into movies, Direct TV's got you covered there, too. Over 70 pay-per-view channels and more than 30 premium movie channels guarantee there's always a movie available whenever you're in the mood. The best part is you don't have to leave your living room. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, movie watching is at your fingertips. Phone in your order, place it online, or use your remote. It just doesn't get any easier than that.

My in-laws recently moved to the U.S. from Greece. And thanks to Direct TV's international line-up, they're still able to watch their favorite shows from their homeland, in the language they're most familiar with. Direct TV offers programming from around the globe, more than 80 channels in Chinese, Arabic, Vietnamese, Polish, Russian, Greek, Italian and others. That doesn't include over 55 Spanish language channels.

I don't see how you could go wrong by choosing Direct TV, but hey, that's not my call. The decision is yours. Be sure to visit the links below to check out all the information you need to make that decision and, more importantly, to save some cash. You'll be glad you did.

Magic Jack Pros

Magic Jack Internet Phone Review

Magic Jack Cons

As with most or all voip services, you must have a high speed internet connection to use this service. These services include broadband, DSL, WiFi, FIOS, cable internet or WiMax. It is not recommended for use with satellite internet.

If you are interested in having a service that allows you to make free long distance calls, give Magic Jack a try. If dumping your current landline phone service is what you need, investigate the other VOIP services that are available and that have a longer track record of performance.

Piano Sheet Music With Letters for Beginners

Want to play the piano but don't think you have time to learn? If you know where the notes and keys are on the piano, piano music sheet with letters may be the perfect solution. Here's how it works:

Many music publishers offer sheet music that has the traditional notes printed on a staff. Inside the notes are printed the corresponding letters. Although children can use this sheet music, it's geared for the adult learner who has a basic awareness of notes, but has never learned to read music.

Imagine being able to sit down at the piano and play a simple jazz tune, a Christmas carol or even a show tune. If you know the letters of the scale and their corresponding place on the piano, you'll have instant success, without the trouble of reading music.

Piano Sheet Music With Letters for Beginners

Since the actual notes are written on the music as well as the letters, using this music is a good way to become familiar with the notes. Over time, you may find that you are able to read music without the help of the letters. Consider this sheet music like training wheels. It provides a simple, comfortable way to begin playing the piano that can eventually lead to greater proficiency.

As you play simple, familiar pieces, you'll also probably gain a deeper understanding of rhythm notes and other elements of piano sheet music. Once you're comfortable with this music, try playing a few pieces of simple, traditional sheet music without the letters. You may be surprised at how well you are able to read the notes.

Another option many children enjoy is the system of piano by numbers. Each key on the piano is labeled with a number and the music sheet is also labeled with corresponding numbers. Piano music by numbers offers almost instant gratification and builds children's confidence. Most children transition to traditional sheet music within a year.

Many adults who start with sheet music with letters find such enjoyment in it that they go on to take lessons to gain even greater mastery. Eventually, you must learn to read a piece of music just as you would a book. Rather than focusing on each individual letter or note, you must see the piece as a whole, broken into measures and passages.

For now, though, piano sheet music with letters is a great place to start. Whatever your goals, piano sheet music with letters can build confidence and increase your pleasure in music

The History of Celtic Music

Celtic Music is a term typically used to describe traditional music from Ireland and Scotland. It includes the use of many unique instruments and even includes some traditional dances. This history of Celtic music opens up a window to the history and culture of the Irish and Scottish people.

Fretted instruments are a large part of the Celtic musical tradition, but it is widely believed that they are a relatively new addition. In fact, this is not true and there are records of fretted instruments being used in the very earliest of Celtic music, dating back to the early 1600's. These instruments include the lute and the mandore, which is a treble lute with four strings attached.

Traditionally, the most popular type of song in Celtic music is the ballad. Ballads are stories written in verse and intended to be set to music. They often tell sad stories and what makes them even more haunting is the fact that, in most cases, we do not know who wrote them. These songs continue to be an important part of the Celtic tradition and give a unique view into the past.

The History of Celtic Music

Another important aspect of this classic music that has transcended generations is the dancing. The most commonly known types are Scottish and Irish step dancing. This long standing tradition is one of the most beloved in Ireland and Scotland and many people of Celtic descent in other countries learn step dancing as a way to keep in touch with their heritage.

Ireland and Scotland are both beautiful countries with deep cultural roots that are observed today. One of the best examples of this is found in the history of Celtic music. These traditions have been observed by families for generations and continue to provide a tie from the past to the present.

Music of the 50s

The 50s was a period in music that had a major impact on the music industry. The music and the artists that came out of this era still impact how music is created today. The style of the 50s was all over with the introduction of new styles and sounds. The artists are perhaps the greatest thing to come from this era of music. Some of the most influential artists of all time came onto the scene during the 50s. The music of the 50s is something that will never be forgotten and something that changed music forever.

Style

There is no one word that can describe the music of the 50s better than the word revolutionary. It was during this era in music that rock n roll came onto the scene. It was also a time when country music started to become more popular and mainstream. Music styles were combined for the first time to create different styles that had never been heard before.

Music of the 50s

Blend of country and R&B were heard in a sound that was referred to as rockabilly. Artists were crossing over on the charts with songs that were popular in many genres of music. Artists really started making names for themselves on 50s records. Some of the most influential artists of all time were introduced through the music of the 50s.

Popular Bands and Artists

Top artists during the 50s included legends like Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley. Names like Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis and Hank Williams became well known. The artists of the 50s are artists that didn't just come and go with the era. These are artists that have forever changed music.

Elvis Presley made waves during this era with his rock n roll style that had girls going crazy and parents protesting. He changed his style often and kept people wondering what he would do next. He was a major celebrity figure and someone who took music beyond where it ever had been before. He became the king of rock n roll and became one of music's greatest artists.

Johnny Cash become legendary during this time. His tales of personal woes, heartaches and real life stories made for some amazing music. He really became one of the leaders of country music and is considered to this day to be one of the greatest country artists of all time.

It seems all the artists that came out of the music of the 50s had some influence. Artists were no longer just making music, but they were changing the whole industry. The artists of this time were ground breaking and set the stage for the artists of the future.

Impact

There is no doubt that the music of the 50s impacted the music we hear today. If it wasn't for all the changes, inventions and revolutions of the 50s who knows what music would be like now. This era proved that doing something different could end up producing something amazing. That is why 50s records are still heard today and why the artists and music of this era still are popular.

Insanity Workout Reviews

The Insanity Workout seems to be getting more and more popular with the word of mouth spread.

I have read tons of reviews and seen a lot of websites that talk about the insanity workout. Shaun T uses a technique called Max interval training. Basically he has you workout at 110% for a period of time and then do an extremely short break before you jump right into the workout routine again, but this time do it faster.

This method is proving to extremely effective and popular. It is interesting to note that at this point 64% of people think Insanity is a better workout then the ever popular P90X workout. That figure is due to change and I encourage you to vote as well.

Insanity Workout Reviews

I think it is going to be interesting to watch and see how this new workout does when all the hype tones down. So far I believe it has exceeded the expectations of most that really care.

The workout is 60 days long, and the first half is easier then the second half. The workouts start out at about 40 minutes long on average and in the second month increase to an hour long each day. And with the difficulty of the first 30 days the second 30 days should prove to be a real challenge for those willing to give it a shot.

Shaun T's Max Interval training takes you through a series of workouts, then he repeats these workouts, but at a faster pace then before. Then once again you must repeat it a third time, but even faster. This makes the workouts easier to follow along with and is extremely effective... and difficult.

Some of the most difficult aspects of the insanity workout is the level 1 and level 2 drills. These are a lot of up and down movements with push ups, jumps and they are very difficult to do.

Many people are calling Insanity the P90X of cardio, but I think it is much more then that. It is a full body workout and is pretty difficult to do.

How To Download Music To a MP3 Player - Download a Free MP3 Music Player Now

In looking to download music to a MP3 player the process is relatively easy once you learn the basics. First, you'll need to have all your connecting cables or docks, software and the music you want to download in place.

As not all portable devices are created equally, you may need your manual to tell you where to begin. This is especially true if you're a total newbie to a particular media player or to MP3 players in general. However, most portable devices usually work in the same manner, so in order to download music to MP3 players you should follow the same, or at least similar, steps.

Hopefully your MP3 player can hook up to your computer using a USB connection; this would be the easiest way to download music to a MP3 player. Just transfer music files as you would other files and documents to a removable disk drive and copy and paste.

How To Download Music To a MP3 Player - Download a Free MP3 Music Player Now

To have organized playlists here's a useful tip; before downloading music onto your MP3 player you can create the folders beforehand and just sequence the music into the folders while you're on your computer. This will save you valuable time in the long run because you'll be able to locate the songs you want to listen to very quickly.

The accompanying software is important because some computers will need them to recognize your MP3 player when you insert it as a USB drive. If you don't have the software - for example, you're using a different computer to download music or you were so excited to buy your MP3 player that you don't remember where you put your software CD - you can probably search for it online. Once your MP3 player is recognized, downloading music will be easy.

Creative Zen players work in this manner, but will ask the user to employ Creative Media Explorer to ease up the transfer of files from your computer to your MP3 player. Creative MediaSource Organizer, meanwhile, helps you organize your files on your computer before downloading the music onto your MP3 player. You can get these two devices by pressing the "Import Media" link.

iPod does it a bit differently but similar, of course, with iTunes, which is downloaded from the iPod website. iTunes is supposed to be the most popular method in managing your music files, but can also be a pain in the neck if you let it.

iTunes is your online music manager - it organizes all your music files in folders according to artist, album and other categories, lets you create and edit playlists, and even works as a music store by offering particular files for download. Next, you sync your iPod into your computer and all the music on iTunes automatically transfers into your iPod.

Interestingly, your computer reads your iPod as a removable disk drive connected through USB, which is exactly what it is, of course. If you find that you can't play particular songs on your MP3 player, it's most likely that it's DRM-protected. Digital Rights Management has a whole slew of limits and limited accesses, such as allowing certain files to play on iPods but not on Creative Zen players or RCA Lyras, and so on.

The simplest way around this is to download music only from the sites that are compatible with your portable device to ensure that you won't be wasting money buying downloadable music that you don't actually work on your MP3 player. More complicated methods could involve illegal activity, or breaking copy-right infringement laws, so tread carefully.

As stated before, getting music into a portable device follows a general procedure. And once you start to download music to a MP3 player you'll be amazed at how easy the entire process really is.
